During a conference call with reporters on Monday, Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard CJ McCollum revealed what message he's going to put on the back of his jersey.

The NBA is allowing players to put messages on their uniforms for the “bubble” games down in Orlando, Florida. McCollum said he's going to put “Education Reform” on his Blazers jersey, via Jason Quick of The Athletic.

“That’s something we lack, especially in certain communities — Black communities and people of color, and the communities where kids are at a disadvantage,” CJ McCollum said.

“I think there needs to be more light on that, so that’s been my focus and will continue to be my focus.”

The Blazers' eight seeding games are very important, as the team needs to compile a better record than the Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns to clinch the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.

Last month when Blazers players held a vote on whether they wanted to play in the NBA’s Orlando restart, McCollum actually voted “no.” However, the scoring guard changed his mind after he and his teammates received more information on the “bubble” games.

The Blazers got all the way to the Western Conference Finals last season. With that said, it would be devastating for Rip City fans if they weren't able to see their favorite basketball team even make the playoffs in 2020.

Prior to games getting suspended in March, McCollum was averaging 22.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
