Portland Trail Blazers superstar CJ McCollum believes that Kevin Durant will leave the Golden State Warriors after the 2018-19 NBA season.

McCollum reacted to a post from a fan, who said that Durant needs to have his own team to maximize his potential in offense. It was posted after Durant erupted for 38 points in the first half of Game 6 of their first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

McCollum said that Durant will have his own team soon.

As it turns out, CJ McCollum is not the only player who is convinced that Durant will leave Golden State soon. According to the latest reports, former and current teammates of KD is convinced that he will bolt out of the Warriors and sign with the New York Knicks.

Kevin Durant, who signed with the Warriors ahead of the 2016-17 NBA season to chase a title, could opt out his contract to become a free agent this summer. There is a wide speculation that he is already playing in his final season in the Bay Area and is targeting a move to New York, which has enough cap room to sign two superstars this summer.

If Durant chooses to leave the Warriors, it could change the landscape of the entire NBA ā€” as a new powerhouse team could rise.
