Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard CJ McCollum has become one of the more entertaining and outspoken players in the entire NBA while often taking to social media to express his thoughts. This time around, however, McCollum has taken his opinions to the media while the Trail Blazers two-guard has certainly had more profound thoughts than this…

“It’ll be tough in the [Western Conference], but it’s always tough,” McCollum recently said, via The Washington Post. “A lot of teams are good, a lot of teams are deep. Obviously, injuries will play a factor in what happens this year — that’s always a factor as the playoffs get closer and closer, the team that stays healthy has the best chance. Hopefully we can be one of those teams that’s healthy.”

It hardly comes as a surprise that the healthiest team in the always dangerous Western Conference is expected to prevail while the Trail Blazers are expected to be one of the top teams in this group in 2019-20. In addition to McCollum and the Trail Blazers, the Western Conference is also surely to feature the likes of the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers toward the top when all is said and done. However, it is safe to say that the Western Conference truly remains up for grabs with the 2019-20 regular season now on the immediate horizon.
