Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum and Sacramento Kings center Alex Len got into a shoving match in the third quarter of their game on Saturday night.

Following Portland's 123-111 loss to Sacramento, McCollum took to Instagram to send his post-game love letter to Len.

CJ definitely wanted to throw some hands.

The two got into each other's faces after McCollum pushed Len away as the latter set a screen. Len clearly didn't appreciate the shove from McCollum and quickly gave it back to the Blazers guard. That's when all hell broke loose.

Fortunately, no hands were thrown and nobody got hurt. Referees reviewed the incident and officially ruled an offensive foul on Len for the moving screen. Both players also received technical fouls for their involvement in the physical scuffle.

McCollum was clearly not having pleasant evening with the Kings handing them the business on their own floor. Certainly, this game was a high-stakes match-up as both Portland and Sacramento are in a tight race for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.

With the win, Sacramento moved to the no. 9 seed in the conference, whereas the Blazers fell to 10th. With less than 20 games remaining on the season, however, time may not be on the side of both squads.

The Memphis Grizzlies still have a tight hold on the no. 8 spot with a 3.5 game lead over Sacramento. The race for the eighth and final playoff spot will certainly be an exciting story to monitor as the regular season winds down to its final month.
