Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard is as fearless as they come. He has the swag and the moxie. But recently, he admitted that one particular scene from a classic animated movie still bothers him to this day.

Lillard shared on Twitter that he remains scarred by a gut-wrenching moment from the 1994 Disney film The Lion King.

The five-time NBA All-Star was forced to relive those bitter memories after seeing his young son watch a Lion King spin-off series called the Lion Guard.

Everyone who watched the Disney classic certainly knows which tear-jerking scene Dame is referring to. The film's protagonist, a young lion cub named Simba, witnessed his father Mufasa get trampled to death by wildebeests in a violent stampede after he got betrayed by his evil brother Scar. Lillard admitted that the follow-up scene where Mufasa's image appeared from the clouds to speak to Simba had him reeling.

New York Knicks forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist even admitted to watching it once a week as it also reminds him of his late father. Jayson Tatum, meanwhile, carried a Lion King lunchbox in the NBA Bubble because it's his son's favorite.

Damian Lillard is enjoying his time with his family now as the new NBA campaign is set to begin in less than a month. He is coming off a phenomenal stint last season, notching averages of 30.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.1 steals in 66 games. He shot 46.4 percent from the field and was 40.1 percent from long distance.
