The Portland Trail Blazers will rest starting point guard Damian Lillard and shooting guard CJ McCollum on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings.

It's the Blazers' last game of the regular season.

The Blazers enter Wednesday in the fourth spot in the Western Conference standings. That could change by the end of the night, though.

Portland trails the Houston Rockets by half a game for the third spot. The Rockets trail the Denver Nuggets by half a game for the second spot. If the Blazers stay in the fourth spot, they would take on the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2019 playoffs.

Lillard and McCollum are looking to atone for what happened in the 2018 postseason. The Blazers got swept by the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round.

Lillard will finish the 2018-19 season with averages of 25.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists. He shot 44.4 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 91.2 percent from the free-throw line.

McCollum, meanwhile, averaged 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 45.9 percent overall, 37.5 percent from the 3-point line and 82.8 percent from the charity stripe.

Portland hasn't made it past the first round of the playoffs since 2016. Let's see if Lillard and McCollum can change that this season.
