Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been on the receiving end of a ton of criticism for passing to Danny Green during L.A.'s last possession in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat on Friday. More than a few folks are saying that LeBron should have taken the last shot himself, and as it turns out, Portland Trail Blazers All-Star point guard Damian Lillard is on the same boat.

When asked on Twitter if he thought James made the right play in that key possession, here's what Lillard had to say:

To be fair, Lillard did say that James made the right decision by kicking the ball out to a wide-open Danny Green. However, the Blazers star also said that if it were him, he would have definitely taken the shot.

LeBron was on fire all night long, and he seemed to have taken it up a notch in crunch time. This is why many expected him to take the last shot — including Miami's defense. They collapsed on James as he took it strong to the hole, which gave Green more than enough time and space to take a semi-contested shot down the middle. Unfortunately for the Lakers, things just did not pan out.

It is worth noting that it was actually the Lakers that sent Lillard and the Blazers packing in the first round of the playoffs. Portland surprisingly won Game 1 of that series, before L.A. won four straight to complete a gentleman's sweep. We're just saying, though.
