Getting buckets is Damian Lillard's specialty in the NBA, so he's one of the guys who would be perfect to ask who among the league's defenders are the best of the best. The Portland Trail Blazers got exactly that question during a recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) and dropped three names: Jrue Holiday of the Milwaukee Bucks, Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Lu Dort of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Everyone has a different opinion when it comes to the best perimeter defenders in the league, but Holiday, Simmons, and Dort aren't shabby names either.

Holiday can really get the job done on both ends of the floor. He's got the size and frame to keep up against any opposing guard and wing; Simmons has yet to step foot on the court this season, but there are probably players out there who'd prefer him to be off the court as long as possible given how capable he is in shutting down scorers; then there's Dort, who's not exactly a star in the traditional sense, but has earned a reputation as a pesky defender who can throw perimeter players out of their rhythm.

Lillard surely knows what he was talking about, as opposing teams spend a great deal of time planning around how to slow him down whenever the Blazers are up next on their schedules.
