Despite losing two straight games, the Portland Trail Blazers are still one of the hottest teams in the league right now with an 8-2 record over their last 10 contests. Leading the way is All-Star point guard Damian Lillard as he carries a lion's share of the responsibility for the Rip City squad.

Lillard has proven time and again that he's capable of delivering whenever needed, and he's out to prove that the same can be said of him outside the basketball court.

According to NBCS Northwest's Jason Quick, Lillard is already making sure that he won't miss the birth of his son.

With his pregnant girlfriend only experiencing small contractions, Damian Lillard says tonight he will line up a private jet to be on stand by in Oklahoma City, New Orleans and Memphis in case she goes into labor. Blazers leave for those cities Sat. Their son was due March 19.

Now that is how one prepares for such a life-changing moment. Lillard knows that he has the available resources on hand to make the seemingly impossible become possible.

This is absolutely a wonderful moment for the couple and tons of props are due toward Lillard's girlfriend for going through nine months of carrying a baby and to the Blazers star himself for putting in the effort to be there for her during labor.

Lillard is sure to come out a changed man after this moment, but that's not to say that he isn't doing well. He's killing it in life and he'll only get equipped with a greater sense of responsibility with the arrival of his son.
