A report came out Friday about Portland Trail Blazers star guard Damian Lillard and a supposed trade request coming over the next few days. Blazers teammate Jusuf Nurkic responded in hilarious fashion by bashing the report of the request. With Lillard practicing for Team USA as they gear up for the Tokyo Olympics, it seems that the Blazers star is set to address the reports, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

“Lillard will address a report about his future with the team following Team USA practice on Friday.”

Boy, will that be an interesting media session. Lillard and Haynes touched on a few other things in the same report. While rumors have gone around all offseason regarding the Blazers star, it always has seemed as if he would be on his way out.

Lillard answered a question from Haynes about why this point in his career is so important, and Lillard's response is, well, interesting.

“…I'm not getting any younger. Our environment has always been great. We’re not losing a lot, but we were eliminated by a shorthanded Denver team that I felt we should have beat. I just walked away from that really disappointed. I was like, ‘Man, this just isn't going to work.”

If Lillard does indeed want out, seemingly every team will want to at least make an attempt at him, given he is one of the best players in the NBA.

If he doesn't request a trade yet, another early playoff exit would likely spell the end of Lillard's run with the Blazers, the team that drafted him when he came out of Weber State and the team he has put on his back time and time again in an effort to lead them to a championship.
