Although he won't participate in the All-Star Game or 3-Point Contest due to injury, Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is still planning to perform musically during the NBA's All-Star Weekend festivities, according to a report from Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

“Dame D.O.L.L.A.,” as Lillard is known in the rap industry, will perform inside the United Center on Saturday night:

As part of a statement that was released earlier Thursday, the NBA revealed that Suns guard Devin Booker will be serving as a replacement for Lillard, who suffered a groin injury during the Blazers' Wednesday night loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Lillard is known as one of the best guards in today's NBA, but he's also a gifted rapper. In fact, some argue that he is the best rapper in the league. The 29-year-old Blazers star has released several tracks over the years. In October, he released “Money Ball,” featuring Jeremih:

Lillard is enjoying the most productive season of his career. The Oakland, California native has made 54 appearances with the Trail Blazers this season, racking up averages of 29.5 points on 46.0 percent shooting from the field (39.3 percent from beyond the arc), 7.9 assists, 4.4 rebounds and a steal in 37.0 minutes per contest. As a testament to his level of play, the marks for his points and assists are both career highs.

The Blazers won't be back in action again until Feb. 21, when they'll serve as hosts to the New Orleans Pelicans. That will be a crucial game as Portland tries to get into the playoff mix.
