Enes Kanter says signing with the Portland Trail Blazers is the best thing to happen in his NBA career.

Kanter signed with the Blazers in February after getting waived by the New York Knicks. He became a fan favorite in Portland because of his charisma and for playing with a separated shoulder in the playoffs:

Kanter becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. He averaged 13.1 points and 8.6 rebounds with the Blazers during the regular season and put up 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in the playoffs. Portland needed Kanter's services in the postseason after big man Jusuf Nurkic was lost for the season with a gruesome leg injury.

It will be interesting to see if the Blazers have interest in bringing Kanter back. He proved he brings scoring, rebounding and energy off the team's bench. Portland has Nurkic, Meyers Leonard, Zach Collins and Jake Layman on the roster, too. Layman's playing time went away after the Blazers added Kanter.

Of course, Kanter's defensive skills are always going to be a topic of discussion. The Blazers will have to consider a lot of facets this summer when it comes to Kanter. It's clear, though, that Kanter wants to come back to Portland and help the team make the NBA Finals next season.
