Evan Turner of the Portland Trail Blazers greeted his teammate Jusuf Nurkic for his 24th birthday. But the guard believes that the big man is lying about his age.
Turner greeted Nurkic via Twitter and Instagram. He sent him some warm regards but gave him a little ribbing in the process:

Again, it's one of those videos of NBA players playing each other off on social media. You expect this type of bond between teammates. After all, the NBA season is long, tiring, and they spend many nights away from their families and loved ones.
All they have are their teammates and the coaching staff to talk to. At one point, NBA players will find someone on the team that they mesh with the most. And for Turner, who has played for several NBA teams, he found a good friend in Nurkic.
There's really no clear reason why the two bonded. Probably because they moved to the Blazers in the same season? Turner signed with the team before the 2016-2017 season. Nurkic, meanwhile, was traded midseason from the Denver Nuggets. One can imagine the two new additions hanging out on one side of the court while the longtime Blazers on the other. Hopefully, their bond off the court will translate well on the court as another season approaches.
