Ever since he entered the league, Hassan Whiteside has one of the NBA's premier shot blockers. Whiteside, however, was able to take that ability to the next level on Friday when the Portland Trail Blazers went up against the Chicago Bulls as the seven-footer set a franchise record for blocked shots with 10.

To go along with the blocks, Whiteside finished the game with eight points and 15 rebounds.

The Blazers franchise record, eight, was shared by Joel Przybilla, Bill Walton, and Mychal Thompson and Theo Ratliff.

Standing at seven feet tall with a monstrous seven-foot-seven wingspan, altering and blocking shots has come natural to Whiteside in his eight-year career.

The former NBA D-Leaguer led the NBA in blocks per game in 2015-16 with 3.7 playing with the Miami Heat.

Whiteside was traded to the Blazers in June of this year and has averaged 15.2 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 16 games as the team's starting center.
