Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers exploded for 34 points in the second half alone. After the game, he revealed that a heckler who kept on yapping motivated him to elevate his game.

Lillard finished with 41 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. His 34-point 2nd half is the new franchise record for most points in a half. And more importantly, they came away with the 114-128 victory against the Orlando Magic.

In a post-game interview, Lillard was asked what exactly got into him during the second half that led to the scoring outburst. He admitted that in the first quarter of a game, he's in observation mode: surveying the opposing team's defense — what types of coverage they're in.

But Lillard shared that a certain heckler behind the Magic bench that kept on talking and even blurted out bad things. He told the fan that such antics would get the Magic in trouble — and that's exactly what happened. Lillard added that during his explosion, the heckler kept quiet.

The Blazers have improved to 3-1 to start off the season. For the past several years, the team has made the playoffs amidst the tough competition out in the Western Conference. When they're clicking on all cylinders, the Blazers are considered serious contenders. Though the past two postseasons didn't pan out as planned, best believe that Lillard and company will always come back with extra motivation.
