Could the Portland Trail Blazers be preparing to make a move ahead of the NBA trade deadline on Thursday?

Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic posted a tweet that has everyone wondering the answer to that question:

Now, of course, Nurkic could merely be reacting to some of the other trades that have gone down over the last 24 hours. Or, he could be reacting to something completely different. Or, he could just be messing with everyone.

Portland traded for Rodney Hood earlier in the week, so the Blazers have already been active in the lead-up to the deadline. There have also been rumors that they are interested in New Orleans Pelicans big man Nikola Mirotic.

In 52 games this season, Nurkic is averaging 15 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.1 steals over 27.3 minutes per game while shooting 49.8 percent from the floor and 75.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The 24-year-old was originally selected by the Denver Nuggets in the first round (16th pick overall) of the 2014 NBA Draft and proceeded to spend the first two-and-a-half years of his career with the Nuggets before being traded to the Blazers midway through the 2016-17 campaign, as Denver was trying to clear the way for Nikola Jokic.

The Blazers currently own a record of 32-21, most recently falling to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

They have been one of the hotter teams in the Western Conference in recent weeks, winning 10 of their last 14 games to jump to fourth place in the West standings.

Portland is looking to make its sixth straight playoff appearance.
