Three is only one Melo in the NBA. At least in Jusuf Nurkic's eyes. The Portland Trail Blazers center hyped up his teammate after Carmelo Anthony led the way in their 121-105 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. Nurkic, who's sidelined due to a fractured right wrist, took to Twitter to tip his hat to Melo after his huge performance. And, maybe also subtly threw shade at rookie LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets.

Though the rise of the young Ball has been a pleasant thing to watch, the claim for the name Melo is still with the 36-year-old future Hall of Fame forward.

The 18-year veteran Anthony showed he can still explode on any given night. Without a handful of key members in the lineup like Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum due to injuries, Melo led the way with 22 points on a 57.1 percent shooting clip.

Since the NBA Bubble last season, the 10-time All-Star has settled into his role as a third-option behind Lillard and McCollum, embracing his critical role under coach Terry Stotts.

Ball, meanwhile, has been good as advertised in his first year in the NBA. The flamboyant guard is putting up 12.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.0 assists while revitalizing the Hornets with his flashy play.

Carmelo Anthony, who was also a third overall pick like LaMelo Ball, has been in and out of the Trail Blazers starting unit with guys like Robert Covington, Derrick Jones Jr., and Gary Trent Jr. in the fold. But he's still managed to put up decent numbers, proving that the former scoring champion is still indeed a walking bucket.
