K.J. McDaniels has been added to the Portland Trail Blazers Summer League team.

As reported by Michael Scotto of The Athletic, McDaniels, who's been spending some time in the G League, has been added to Portland's Summer League team. The tourney will kick off on July 6:

McDaniels, 25, was the 32nd overall pick in 2014. The 6-foot-6 wingman has suited up for the Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, and the G League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Grand Rapid Drive. In college, McDaniels went to Clemson University and as a junior was named the ACC’s Defensive Player of the Year.

In 148 games in the NBA, McDaniels logged in 5.3 points per game, 2.2 rebounds, and shot 41.2 percent from the field.

McDaniels will join Zach Collins, Caleb Swanigan, Jake Layman, Wade Baldwin, John Jenkins, MiKyle McIntosh, and Archie Goodwin as new additions to Portland's Summer League team. These players, which comprise of a mix of undrafted aspirants and G League players, intend to battle it out for a slot in the team.

The Blazers will debut game against the Utah Jazz on July 7. They will then face the Atlanta Hawks on July 8 and San Antonio Spurs on July 10.

Last season, they made it to the Summer League Finals where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.
