During an IG live segment, Brooklyn Nets superstar point guard Kyrie Irving talked about his love and appreciation for Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard.

Both Irving and Lillard are universally recognized as two of the best point guards in the game.

Kyrie says Lillard is a “killa.” He also spoke about the Blazers superstar's game-winning shot over Paul George and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2019 playoffs:

“Love competing against him on the floor,” Kyrie Irving said about Damian Lillard. “Killa. Killa.

“Oh my goodness, did you see what he did last year too? When you get savage enough to go like this (does Lillard's wave), like when you wave somebody goodbye from a right step-back from like 30 something feet bro.”

Dame scored 50 points in that Game 5 against the Thunder. Lillard now has two walk-off shots on his postseason résumé.

The first one was against the Houston Rockets in the 2014 playoffs.

Before the 2019-20 season got suspended due to COVID-19, Lillard was averaging 28.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists for the Blazers. He was shooting 45.7 percent from the field, 39.4 percent from beyond the arc and 88.8 percent from the free-throw line.

The Blazers had a record of 29-37. They were in the ninth spot in the Western Conference standings.

Irving was only able to play in 20 games in his first season with the Nets due to a right shoulder injury, which he eventually got surgery on. Uncle Drew put up 27.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists this season.

Lillard and Irving had a great duel back on November 8 in Portland, a game the Nets won by only four points. Kyrie scored 33 points for Brooklyn, while Lillard poured in 60 for the Blazers.
