Following Thursday morning's shootaround in Portland, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James had high praise for Blazers point guard Damian Lillard. The two athletes are friends, so James' admiration of Lillard's game should come as no surprise. During his media availability, James noted that Lillard is “a superstar in our league.”

It's certainly hard to argue with James on that one…

Lillard is known as one of the best ball-handlers in today's NBA. His talent doesn't end there, though. The former No. 6 overall pick in the 2012 Draft has excellent court vision and lethal accuracy at range.

In his 60 appearances with the Blazers this season, Lillard, now 27 years of age, has racked up averages of 26.9 points on 44.6 percent shooting from the field (38.2 percent from beyond the arc), 6.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds.

Currently, Lillard and the Blazers are riding the wave of a 10-game winning streak, with six of those 10 opposing teams having winning records. In his 37 minutes of action against the Miami Heat on Monday night, Lillard racked up 32 points on 8-19 shooting from the field (7-14 from beyond the arc), 10 assists and five rebounds, resulting in a plus/minus score of +25.

“I don't know if there is any other player in this league right now that is playing at a higher level than Lillard,” Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra told ESPN. “You know the names in the MVP conversation. The way he's playing right now and winning, he deserves to be in that conversation as well.”

Thursday night's matchup between the Blazers and Cavs is set to tip inside the Moda Center at 10:00 p.m. EST. Let's see if Portland can keep their momentum rolling.
