Richard Jefferson had a lot to say about the Portland Trail Blazers front office and how they're handling Damian Lillard during NBA on ESPN.

When asked about the Lillard and Blazers situation, Jefferson had this to say,

“Again you said it yesterday how transparent Dame is… but just like anything, both sides have to meet in the middle. I truly believe that the Portland Trail Blazers off of what Woj is saying… that people are seeing Dame as an asset… Dame might say he doesn't want to leave and the new GM might come in and say this might be the best thing for the organization moving forward.”

Everything that Richard Jefferson said is true. The Blazers have not committed to Lillard in the same way that he has committed to them. He says that he wants to stay in Portland for his entire career, but the Blazers just do not make the necessary moves to make them contenders. There's no reason why a star like Lillard doesn't have a supporting cast who can help Portland and him win an NBA title.

He has continuously proven throughout his career that he can be a top-five player in basketball and is arguably the most clutch basketball player that the NBA has seen in a long time. Unfortunately, the Blazers just haven't given him the same amount of support that he has given them and it has caused an interesting situation. It's going to be interesting to see what Portland decides to do with Lillard because it looks like they might be heading towards a rebuild.
