Portland Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts was wildly impressed with his point guard's performance, as Damian Lillard dropped a 50-point bomb and a game-winning shot to bring his team back from a 15-point fourth quarter deficit.

The Blazers collectively pulled off a 13-2 run to close out the game, but it was Lillard that provided the game-tying basket down the stretch with a tough layup, and then provided the rest of the fireworks with a deep 37-foot 3-pointer all over Paul George to win the game.

As it turns out, Stotts was in awe of his point guard's heroics throughout the game.

“Damian's performance was probably the best performance I've seen in person,”said Stotts after a 118-115 series-clinching win over the Thunder. “Off the top of my head — I've seen 50-point games, obviously — but the way he carried the team in the first half with CJ (McCollum) in foul trouble, the magnitude of the last shot to win the series. The fact that he's now won two series in a single shot — or two shots, I should say. It was quite a performance.”

Lillard had 34 points at the half, but did not slow down upon returning, rather picking his spots to deal damage as the Thunder quickly landed blows with a hot-shooting trio of Jerami Grant, Dennis Schroder and George.

The Blazers seem to have made up for the last two playoff exits in the first round, as they were swept out of contention in both instances.

Lillard seems determined to go deeper into the playoffs and as along as he keeps playing this way, it will get tough to stop him.
