The people in charge of the Portland Trail Blazers‘ Twitter account just made a subtle shot at Lonzo Ball, before the start of their team's Summer League finale against the Los Angeles Lakers.

After deciding to wear other players’ signature shoes and not his own, the Blazers’ social media team made an “update” on what Jake Layman will be wearing on Monday. While he will still be sporting Adidas sneakers just like he’s done throughout the event, they wanted to make sure they highlight his loyalty to one brand, unlike Ball, who has not worn his own ZO2’s for four games and counting.

Ball debuted his kicks with his family’s Big Baller Brand at the start of the Summer League, but surprised many when he wore the signature shoes of Kobe Bryant, James Harden, and Stephen Curry in three separate games. While it came as a shock to many, Ball has already stated that it's all part of their marketing strategy.

NBA Twitter accounts have made a number of hilarious tweets this past season and even had some funny exchanges with their counterparts from other teams.

However, taking a shot at the second overall pick of this year’s draft may be a bad idea as he has been playing very well this summer. He has even recorded two triple-doubles and was named the MVP of the Summer League for his outstanding play. That said, the tweet may fire him up even more and play his best game so far, at the expense of the Blazers.
