After the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday to qualify for the 2020 playoffs, rookie forward Nassir Little shared a story about star point guard Damian Lillard from about seven months ago.

Little recalled how Lillard told him the Blazers were going to make the playoffs and that he was going to be doing things the youngster had never seen before.

Damian Lillard's claim came true. Not only are the Blazers in the 2020 playoffs, but Lillard is coming off an incredible four-game stretch following that missed free-throw against the Los Angeles Clippers. He scored 51 points against the Philadelphia 76ers, 61 against the Dallas Mavericks, 42 against the Brooklyn Nets and 31 against the Grizzlies.

That's how superstars respond in the face of adversity.

The Blazers will be able to relax for only a little bit until they take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs starting Monday. The Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference and two of the top players in the NBA in LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

As bad as the Blazers' defense is, Lillard may have to average 50.0 points per game for Portland to upset the Lakers. The crazy thing about it is, Lillard is fully capable of doing that.
