The Portland Trail Blazers are set to make a bit of noise in the offseason, and Lu Dort might be headed over to team up with Damian Lillard.

Nothing is set in stone just yet. The Blazers are actually targeting Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby. Portland is willing to part with the No. 7 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft if it means they get the 24-year-old Englishman from the Raptors.

It makes sense, of course. Anunoby has been constantly improving his production every season. he averaged career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, and steals this past season. He would definitely be an upgrade at the 3-spot for the Blazers.

On the other hand, should Portland fail to close any deal involving Anunoby, they're willing to go after another up-and-coming wingman in Dort. The 23-year-old Canadian also had a banner year this past season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite going undrafted in 2019, Dort has made quite a name for himself. He averaged 17.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in 2021-2022. Should the Blazers acquire him instead, Dort could possibly be an impactful perimeter asset for the team.

The sweetener in a potential Dort deal is that the Blazers might also have the No. 12 pick this year. That's a pick they can use on a number of promising rookies like AJ Griffin, Malaki Branham, or Mark Williams.

And all these are in addition to already having Jerami Grant in the fold. The 8-year NBA veteran has seen his stock rise of late, especially after showing explosive scoring prowess the past two seasons. Grant shores up the frontline for the Blazers, while either OG Anunoby or Lu Dort could fill the spot left behind after the CJ McCollum trade in February.
