Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard knows all about the concept of paying it forward. Just ask the Blazers' support staff about it as Lillard convinced his teammates to donate their playoff bonuses to the team's employees.

Each team that makes the first-round gets $223,864 as a bonus check for all of their players. Lillard made sure this money would go to trainers, massage therapists and other team support staff.

From CSNNW.com's Jason Quick:

“We divide our playoff shares to give to the people who we work so closely with because they spend as much time away from their families as we do, and they are just about as invested as we are,’’ Lillard said after the season. “They also do as much as possible to make our lives easier, even if it makes theirs more difficult – all while making far less. So it’s a further way of showing appreciation beyond a thank your or a handshake.’’

A tremendously nice gesture by Lillard and the Blazers, who clearly know how much work their support staff do for them .
