Christmas came early for a bunch of kids who recently came across a real-life Santa Claus in the form of Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard.

The 29-year-old was caught on film, gifting some lucky kids with no less than five pairs of new Adidas kicks apiece.

Getting one new pair of sneakers is already a treat in itself, but to get five pairs — with your own choice of literally any pair in the store — is definitely an experience you will never forget. The fact that it was Lillard himself who handed them to you face-to-face just takes it over the top.

Lillard was in a very generous mood, and perhaps the big-money deal he recently signed had a lot to do with this. Just a few weeks ago, the four-time All-Star agreed to a four-year, $196 million supermax extension with the Blazers. Dame has always declared how he intends to remain loyal to Portland despite how jumping ship has now become common practice in the league, and the former Rookie of the Year winner lived up to his commitment in a big way.

This comes at an excellent time for the Blazers, who suffered another series sweep to end their playoff hopes last season. However, the circumstances this time around were much, much better, as Lillard and company fell to no less than the former defending champs, the Golden State Warriors, in the Western Conference Finals. It is going to be a tough road ahead, but the Blazers are hoping to take things a step further in the coming year.
