One of the biggest non-NBA storylines during the offseason was the rap battle between Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal and Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard. The two threw diss tracks at each other, dividing fans as to who roasted who.

One month after they decided to call it quits, O'Neal reflected on his rap exchange with Dame. Shaq said that there was no beef between him and Lillard, but since they were both competitors, they wanted to prove that they're better than the other.

Shaq added that he respects Lillard and that he considers him as one of the best players in the NBA today, and despite the fact that they threw verbal jabs at each other, it's nothing personal.

Earlier this year, Shaq also had some sort of friendly beef with former teammate Kobe Bryant.
