Following the announcement of Kyrie Irving becoming the cover athlete of 2K Sports' famed video game NBA 2k18Bleacher Report couldn't help but make fun of the Cleveland Cavaliers guard after a convincing 113-91 defeat to the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The adapted cover now features his counterpart Stephen Curry with and up-and-under move, using Irving as a prop for airtime in light of a sound performance on Thursday night.

While Curry's and Irving's stats weren't much different, the Warriors guard's impact was felt throughout the game, draining deep ball after deep ball, sinking the Cavaliers' hopes for a close game at Oracle Arena.

Being in the cover of video games has been somewhat of a misfire for athletes in recent years, as Paul George (NBA 2K17) was swept out of the playoffs this season, Curry (NBA 2K16) fell a game shy of winning it all last season, and Kevin Durant (NBA 2K15) only played 27 games during the 2014-15 season with a foot injury.

So far through one game of this rubber-match-series, it looks like the 2K-curse is still following its trend.
