After almost two years, the Toronto Blue Jays could finally be able to play in front of their home fans. According to AP's Rob Gillies, the Jays and the Canadian Government have reached an agreement to finally return to Canada and play the second half at the Rogers Centre:

While they still need that last signature from the immigration minister, this is great news for the Blue Jays. I'm sure they've gotten used to playing on the road, whether it was in Dunedin or Buffalo, in which they've called home for the last season and a half. You better believe Jays fans will be excited about this as well because this team is legit and exciting as ever to watch.

The Blue Jays head into the second half with a 45-42 record, which has them sitting eight games behind the Boston Red Sox for the American League East lead. They have a perennial superstar in Vladimir Guerrero Jr who is having a career year, clubbing 28 homers while hitting .332. He's also fresh off an All-Star Game MVP, becoming the youngest player to ever win the award.

While supporters in Buffalo and down in Florida at their spring training facility have been no issue, returning to Toronto will definitely be exciting for the Blue Jays as they look to make a playoff push. By the start of August, barring any setbacks, they should be back at the Rogers Centre.

Baseball is back in Canada. It's about time.
