Gerald Green is back with the team which drafted him back in 2005 and played for his first two seasons in the NBA. The 30-year-old former Slam Dunk Champion signed a one-year contract last summer to play for the Boston Celtics this year.

And on their season opener against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night, he sported his newly-braided locks showing how proud is he to be a Celtic once again.

It may have taken an hour and a half to complete it according to Darren Hartwell of NESN, but it was all worth it as the Celtics won the game, 122-117. The 6-foot-7 swingman saw almost 15 minutes of action and finished with nine points, five rebounds and two assists but most importantly, brought a lot of energy off the bench.

If he continues to play like this, Green will become an important rotation player for the Celtics who are looking to make a deeper run in the playoffs and compete for the championship this season.
