The lightweight fight between Vasyl Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez has had more than enough exciting build up. There is certainly a lot of tension there, and the two should put on a fantastic match. If you needed any more build up though, Canelo Alvarez is here to help.
The legendary boxer took to Twitter to throw his support behind Teofimo Lopez ahead of Saturday's bout.

Teofimo Lopez is 15-0 in his professional career with 12 knockouts. Meanwhile, Lomachenko is 14-1 with 10 knockouts.
Both hold at least one title at the moment, and this fight will crown an undisputed champion at 135 lbs. Throw in the fact that Alvarez is not only interested in the fight, actually taking to social media to support Teofimo Lopez, and this thing is getting very interesting.
According to Brian Campbell of CBSsports.com, the fight is available on ESPN and fuboTV at 10 Eastern. Campbell also points out that despite both only having 15 professional fights, Lomachenko has an experience advantage due to his “extensive amateur background.” Therefore, despite a perfect 15-0 record, Teofimo Lopez might be coming into this fight as the underdog in the eyes of many.
Through all the back-and-forth battles and trash talking, these two have built a nice rivalry that adds to the bout on Saturday. However, that is something you tend to see for fights. It is hard for Teofimo Lopez and Vasyl Lomachenko not to end up with some bad blood as the exciting and nerves of the fight getting closer tends to bring that out of each other.
Simply, just the want to win will cause two sides to not see eye-to-eye by the time the fight has arrived. Not every fight gets this extra spice thrown on to it though. Alvarez's support of Teofimo Lopez adds to the buildup.
