It appears that we might all be in store for another mega-fight between undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and former UFC featherweight and welterweight champion Conor McGregor.

In a recent interview with Zack Jones of Forbes, no less than Floyd Mayweather himself not only confirmed that he is set to come out of retirement and is “working on some things right now for Tokyo, whether 2020 or 2021,” but that a highly-anticipated rematch between himself and Conor McGregor might actually be in the books. However, the boxing great refuted any claims that he would enter the octagon in any potential rubber match.

“No [I won’t compete in MMA],” Floyd Mayweather said. “I think just like how winning teams receive home-field advantage in the playoffs…you don't fix what isn't broken, and my record isn't broken.”

Then again, being the top-notch promoter that he is, Mayweather did not sut down the possibility of getting in the ring again to face McGregor in a boxing match.

“For now, I'm happily retired. You never know, but it would have to be worth it,” the boxing legend said. “Just like gambling right? Juice worth the squeeze no matter who the opponent is.”

That's pretty much Floyd Mayweather talk for yes, this is something that's going to happen in the near future, and that they're just trying to figure out how they can make as much money out of this spectacle as they possibly could.

Conor McGregor himself has intimated that this rematch is inevitable, and has already claimed in numerous occasions that he is certain that he will be able to defeat Mayweather in their second meeting.
