After defeating Tyron Woodley via split decision on Sunday, Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul seemed to have announced his retirement from boxing.

On Twitter, Paul sent out an “updated status” which highlighted he's now a “retired boxer.” Of course it made headlines since he just finished his fourth professional career fight.

For what it's worth, though, he might not be really retiring but just taking a break from boxing. Paul hinted as much after his win over Tyron Woodley, telling Ariel Helwani of Showtime that he will rest and take his time before deciding on his next opponent or whether he will still fight or not.

“I think I might need to need chill out for a second, figure out who I am. I'm only 24. I'm changing, I'm growing, I'm learning a lot. I'm going through ups and downs. I'm making mistakes, but I'm keeping my head on straight. I'm just going to get back in the gym when I'm ready and we'll see,” Jake Paul said, via Yahoo Sports.

It should also be noted that while he announced his “retirement,” he tweeted just an hour later his tattoo conditions to fight Woodley again–something that someone intent on retiring from boxing wouldn't do.

Jake Paul is 4-0 in his career, and at just 24-years-old, he certainly has plenty more fuel to fight if he's really serious about boxing. Then again, only time will tell if he'll fight again given that he has already made a lot of money from his fights as well. For now, we'll let the man rest and enjoy his victory.
