Jake Paul was preparing for his upcoming bout on August 6 against Tommy Fury when it was announced that he would need to find a new opponent. Fury's entry into the United States was banned after connections with crime figure Daniel Kinahan were established.
Fury's replacement ended up being Hasim Rahman Jr. The two men had their first press conference ahead of their anticipated bout. Things got tense between the two boxers. If you ask Paul, Rahman Jr. got āhis ass beatā during the encounter. But Rahman Jr. came across much more genuine providing details and calling out Jake Paul for running from him.

It's possible that Jake Paul might finally have bitten off more than he can chew this time. Rahman Jr., the son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, is 12-1 with his only loss coming to undefeated Kenzie Morrison.
Paul's resume to this point is without much bite. He is 5-0 as a boxer but is yet to beat anyone of note. His last two fights were against former MMA star Tyrone Woodley. This bout against Rahman Jr. will easily be the biggest test of Jake Paul's career. It remains to be seen whether Paul is doing all of this for fame and fortune, or if he wants to become a legitimate boxing contender.
