Everyone's new favorite sports announcer Snoop Dogg is now set to have his own boxing league.

Partnering with Triller, Snoop Dogg is creating a new boxing league consisting of 5-8 events a year with Snoop Dogg primarily running it. Snoop will create the fights, musical acts, host, and most importantly for many, the announcer for the new promotion.

This announcement comes just a week after his well-received appearance as a color commentator during the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr card. Many in the sports and entertainment world expressed their desire to have Snoop commentate for all sporting events following his commentary during the event, particularly following the Jake Paul vs Nate Robinson fight.

Now Snoop will have a chance to give the people what they want on a regular basis.

The promotion will combine boxing matches and musical performances like they were during the Tyson-Jones Jr card.

Snoop Dogg is not the first entertainer to become a boxing promoter and mix music and boxing. Dropkick Murphys lead singer Ken Casey owns Murphys Boxing and combines fight cards with performances by the punk band.

While they have not announced an official date for the first card, it is expected to be some time early next year.

Co-founder Ryan Kavanaugh mentioned that their goal is to give an entertaining experience for the viewers at home as well as those in attendance.

“Up until this weekend, boxing was about the experience of one small group of elite individuals who attended the fight in person,” said Ryan Kavanaugh, the co-founder of The Fight Club, in a release. “What we wanted to create with the Tyson vs. Jones event was an experience for all of the viewers at home, combining the highest-end production and lighting and a production quality never before brought to a fight. Today marks a paradigm shift as Triller and Proxima's ‘The Fight Club' dedicates itself to delivering top-notch immersive experiences in the comfort of your home.”

As long as Snoop Dogg is involved, many are bound to be entertained by this new venture.
