It's been six years since the last Bravely Default game and fans can finally experience its beauty with a demo of the latest installment. Nintendo announced on Twitter the availability of the sequel's demo where players can earn 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points upon downloading it. This will also be the final demo of the game.

The current premise of the game strays away from the previous installment's story arc similar to the Final Fantasy series. Its gameplay follows the traditional turn-based format. So far the story revolves around a young sailor named Seth traversing the continent of Excillant with a refugee princess, a scholar, and a mercenary.

The initial demo was praised, but some criticisms are pointed on its high difficulty curve. It likewise revealed a huge emphasis on grinding that goes beyond the traditional RPG genre. It's possible that the latest demo may solve these problems to cater to newcomers.

The Bravely series was renowned for its rich storytelling and characters during the peak of the DS era. Though there were some issues with the story which included clichés and questionable dialogue options, it still managed to garner positive reviews from critics. The gameplay has also been a primary selling point, offering a strategic depth. This in turn made it into one of the biggest surprises as a newcomer that shook the RPG genre. There are some discrepancies with its graphics, but the latest entry's demo reveal a massive improvement that could entice gamers.

The game is scheduled to be released on February 26, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. It is considered by Gamespot to be one of the most anticipated game of 2020.
