Free agent shooting guard Jamal Crawford was reportedly considering offers from many teams like the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers, and even the Cleveland Cavaliers after he got a lowbal offer from the Los Angeles Clippers. Rumors of him having one foot out the door began, and many considered Golden State and Washington as favorites to be his landing spots.

In the end, however, Crawford and the Clippers ultimately agreed on a new and well-deserved contract, per Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Crawford was expected to leave Los Angeles after the team agreed to terms with backup guard Austin Rivers to a 3-year deal worth $35 million yesterday and offered him less money annually than Rivers. Crawford always wanted to stay in Los Angeles, and the two sides were able to work out a deal to essentially bring the same Clippers core back for another run at an NBA title.

Crawford averaged 14.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 27 minutes of action this season, coming in as a spark off the bench for the Clippers.
