The Golden State Warriors will be shorthanded again today when they take on the L.A. Clippers.

Kevin Durant will miss his second straight game with a minor calf injury. Durant also missed the Warriors' last game against the Houston Rockets on Thursday. Golden State still won that game, 124-114.

The Warriors' injury report is still pretty extensive, but that is mainly due to the NBA's new policy requiring such detail from teams, according to head coach Steve Kerr.

Despite being shorthanded so often this season, missing players like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green at times for extended periods this year, the Warriors have still managed to be as good as anyone, starting off with a 31-8 record.

The Warriors have now had Curry back for three games and he has already been on fire and looking like he is in top form. He went from 17th in the NBA to 7th in 3-pointers made in that short timespan, including drilling 10 — a season-high in the NBA — in his first game back against the Memphis Grizzlies.

It's been a different story for the Clippers who, after a great start to the year, have now dropped to 17-20 thanks to a ton of injury issues. Blake Griffin and Milos Teodosic each missed a ton of time while point guard Patrick Beverley was lost for the entire year.

It will be interesting to see how this old rivalry looks today minus two of the major stars that have been included in it over the last few years.
