The Charlotte Hornets lost one free agent in Al Jefferson this summer, but Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that they've won over at least one of their free agents.

Forward Marvin Williams has reportedly agreed to a 4-year, $54.5 million deal to return to the Charlotte Hornets next season, per Wojnarowski.

The Washington Wizards, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Brooklyn Nets were all in the running for Williams, but he opted to return to the Hornets, a team he helped get just one game away from the second round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs.

In early May, Williams let it be known that he wanted to remain a Hornet.

“There's no question,” Williams said. “I want to return. I'll let it be known right now this is the most fun I've had in a season.”

In his second year with Charlotte, Williams averaged 11.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists on 42% shooting from the field and 40% from downtown.
