Free agent forward Udonis Haslem has agreed to a one-year minimum deal to return to the Miami Heat, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical. The sum is a likely $2.3 million for the veteran's minimum within the new collective bargaining agreement.

Haslem has been a staple of the organization after joining the franchise in 2003 as an undrafted rookie out of the University of Florida.

The undersized power forward has seen his role diminish every season, but still remains a popular and respected locker room presence within the organization.

He averaged 1.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game this past season, only appearing in 16 games. The 14-year veteran has only played in 53 games the last two seasons, playing a mentorship role with the infusion of youth within the organization.

Having won three championships alongside Dwyane Wade, the 37-year-old will come back to the organization for another go, hoping to steer this young core in the right direction after the team rallied for a 30-11 finish, coming out a tiebreaker short of making the postseason.
