Brett Brown will finally be coaching real basketball for the Philadelphia 76ers.

The tanking days are over and the future pieces have arrived at the City of Brotherly Love. Ben Simmons, Dario Saric, and Joel Embiid are all key additions who are also poised to become very big pieces of the franchise’s goals.

In Brian Seltzer’s BroadCast at Sixers.com, coach Brown talked about Embiid in a very interesting manner.

“There’s a lot of mystery, you know, surrounding Joel Embiid, there’s a lot of, not so much mystery, I think interest and anticipation with the arrival of Ben and Dario. There’s a real fascination with how we’re going to pull this thing together.”

The highly-skilled bigman was drafted in 2014 by the Sixers, but has not stepped foot in an NBA game since due to injury. All we know about him is he can do wonders when he’s not being guarded by actual opponents that have no plan on going easy on him.

Two years is a long time for waiting on a prospect that isn’t even overseas honing his skills. But the team’s patience on the product out of Kansas speaks a lot about his potential, and Brett Brown is very happy to be the one who gets to unlock the mystery that is Joel Embiid.
