Brian Scalabrine’s playing days are long over, but even as a broadcaster, he’s still working off a bit of rust during preseason.
The White Mamba had a somewhat awkward moment during the Celtics’ preseason opener against the Charlotte Hornets. While working as a Celtics sideline reporter, Scalabrine didn’t appear to know he was already live and on air.

The always-reliable CJ Fogler posted the video on Twitter showing Scal casually talking and moving around, oblivious to the fact that he was already on live TV.
Don’t be so hard on the White Mamba, though. He’s actually done well to transition into a broadcasting career and those are just the occupational hazards of being a television broadcaster. He should get up to speed once he gets back into the flow and rhythm of the job through preseason and beyond.
