Many circled June 25 on their calendars to see the much-awaited return of none other than Brian Scalabrine to the pro hardwood as part of the BIG3 League after many years of doing radio and television appearances following his retirement from the NBA.
The 39-year-old laced them up once again for the team he now captains, the “Ball Hogs” — not before catching the eyes of many attending the Barclays Center in Brooklyn after seeing his jersey read the No. 24 and “W. Mamba” as the name — a nod to his famed self-given nickname spun from Kobe Bryant‘s Black Mamba.
