The restrictions placed by COID-19 have limited some of the day-to-day operations for NFL teams. Fortunately, this has not impacted the recovery of Denver Broncos outside linebacker Bradley Chubb.

According to Troy Renck of ABC7 in Denver, Chubb provided a rather encouraging update on his knee injury:

“My knee is doing great,” Chubb said. “I am in rehab every day. Me and one of the trainers working. We are making sure we are doing the right things to stay clean and do the right things so there are no setbacks for the coming year.”

Chubb's comments indicate that he is on track with his recovery this offseason. Although it remains to be seen if the coronavirus will delay the schedule for the 2020 NFL season, it appears he will be back to full health either way.

Chubb was taken with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and quickly fit the billing by recording 12.0 sacks during his rookie campaign. Unfortunately, he was unable to build on it after his 2019 NFL season was cut short due to a partial tear of the ACL in his left knee.

The Broncos have since made a few splashes with their acquisitions in free agency, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Such additions include former Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback A.J. Bouye and Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey.

Of course, Chubb will still have some turnover to deal with following the departure of outside linebackers coach Brandon Staley. Regardless, there is still good reason for him to be optimistic about a potential resurgence in the 2020 NFL season.
