Broncos' cornerback Chris Harris has just been announced to play in the Pro Bowl, according to a new report by Mike Klis of 9News.

In early December 2018, Harris broke a bone in his leg. He'd hoped that he could heal quick enough to see a return to the field before the end of the Broncos' season. Unfortunately, that was not meant to be.

Harris' return to the field, however, will be marked by his appearance in the Pro Bowl. Although it's unclear what position he'll play, Klis reports that Harris got the call on Sunday night with regards to his position.

It's most likely, however, that Chris Harris will be taking the place of Stephon Gilmore on the field, since Gilmore is headed to the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots. Harris had 49 tackles, three interceptions, a touchdown and a sack in 12 games for the Broncos before getting hurt — making him one of the best slot cornerbacks in the league today.

Harris will be playing with Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller and long snapper Casey Kreiter. Running back Phillip Lindsey was also due to play in the Pro Bowl, but thanks to a wrist injury, he'll have to sit the game out.

However, in good news for Lindsey, he'll be serving as the social media correspondent for the NFL. So, even though he won't be taking to the field with Chris Harris and his teammates, he'll still be there to cheer them on, and give us a blow-by-blow of the plays in the process.
