Most of the offseason talk surrounding the Denver Broncos have been about their looming quarterback situation and how will they approach it. However, it is clear that the Broncos are looking to replace other key positions as well. Unfortunately, this spells bad news for running back CJ Anderson's future in Denver.

According to Mike Klis of 9news.com, general manager John Elway was non-committal about bringing back Anderson:

“We’ll see,’’ Elway said. “We’ll look at that. Like I said, we’re looking at every option that we can and where our football team is. I’m not saying they’ll be back for sure, but I’m not going to say they are gone. We’re exploring a lot of options on other players, too. That is what you do this time of year. It’s not just isolated to those two players.”

Among the other names listed in the same boat as CJ Anderson is cornerback Aqib Talib. Although both players have enjoyed proven success over the years, it seems the Broncos may be looking for younger, cheaper options for the future.

Elway made it clear that he fully intends to bring back wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.

His decision should come as no surprise considering the team's new quarterback will need some solid options to throw it to, especially with the lack of talent at wideout in this year's draft. Furthermore, Thomas and Sanders are as solid a duo as there is in the league with the right player under center.

However, the running back position has seemingly become much more expendable for the Broncos. As a result, Elway may not be looking to match what are expected to be some solid offers from other teams for Anderson's services.
