The Denver Broncos might be moving on from Von Miller this offseason, or so it was thought. After a report that the team might decline Miller's option, another report came to the surface, and it turns out Miller hasn't been contacted regarding a decline of his option, according to Benjamin Albright of KOAColorado.

Miller's name was tossed around as a potential cut candidate for many reasons. First of all, his age is trading in the wrong direction of where the team is headed as they look to rebuild. Quarterback Drew Lock has been tossed around trade circles as well as they look to make improvements on the roster.

Secondly, he missed all of 2020 with an ankle injury, and before that he posted eight sacks in 2019, the lowest since his 2013 season. Nobody knows how he'll look after coming back from that injury, and his cap hit of $22 million is a lot for them to pay.

The lifelong Broncos star has been a huge part of their success throughout his career. He's a fan favorite and, when healthy, a formidable force for opposing offenses to plan against.

The Broncos seem to be in the midst of a rebuild and freeing up the money that is owed to Miller would be huge for this team come free agency. As for Miller, he wants to compete for a title and the Broncos aren't that close at all.

Nonetheless, the Broncos haven't made any decision on Miller and for now, he's a Bronco until told otherwise.
