According to 9News' Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos are set to interview Pagano sometime this week. Zac Taylor, the former QB coach for the Los Angeles Rams, is also up for consideration for the position.

Pagano certainly has a storied, and respectable, history with the NFL. In 2011, he served as the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. From 2012 to 2017, however, he served in his most high-profile position, to date, as the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.

However, at the end of 2017, the Colts fired Pagano right after their 22-13 defeat of the Houston Texans. At the time, it was reported that Pagano was fired because he'd missed the playoffs for the third straight year.

After he was fired, Chuck Pagano took time off from coaching, and served as a consultant for the NFL.

If Pagano does, indeed, get hired by the Broncos, there's a chance that he may hire his brother, John Pagano, to serve as his assistant head coach. The younger Pagano is currently the Houston Texans’ senior defensive assistant/outside linebackers coach.

The Broncos created the opening for the new head coach when they fired Vance Joseph on Monday.

In addition to Chuck Pagano and Zac Taylor, the Denver Broncos are also reportedly interviewing Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, New England Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores and Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak.
