The Denver Broncos are seeking a head coach to replace the fired Vic Fangio and have zeroed in on three finalists for the position, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapaport. The three lucky candidates are Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell and Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

Here's Rap on the candidates:

Quinn has been viewed as something of a favorite, and he certainly has the most experience out of these three. Quinn is the only one of the three with previous NFL head coaching experience after spending six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. Quinn should have won a Super Bowl with the Falcons, but they unfortunately blew a 28-3 lead against Tom Brady's New England Patriots.

Rapaport notes that Quinn has a relationship with Denver Broncos general manager George Paton, which could play a role in the decision.

O'Connell is the 36-year-old offensive coordinator under Sean McVay in Los Angeles. Rapaport refers to him as an “under-the-radar name.” Meanwhile, Hackett has helped coach up Aaron Rodgers in recent years.

The Broncos are trying to turn things around after three disappointing seasons under Fangio. Denver lost the final four games of this season to finish 7-10, missing the playoffs.

Of course, one big key for the next head coach is who will be under center. The Broncos haven't found another franchise quarterback since Peyton Manning retired, so Paton needs to figure out the quarterback situation in addition to hiring a new head coach.
